Our Story
Midnight Sun Catering was built the way many lasting Fairbanks businesses are built: through relationships, resilience, and consistently delivering good food at a fair price. Founded by Doug Campbell, the company grew over decades through word of mouth, serving everything from small gatherings to large community events with the kind of reliability people came to depend on.
We’re Charles and Elena. We met working in the service industry, where long hours and high standards shaped how we approach hospitality today. Years later, with a young family, our parents by our side, and a drive to build something of our own, we launched Blue Flame Street Side, a food truck that became a familiar presence at breweries and festivals across Fairbanks. That experience grounded us in this community and reinforced what matters most: quality, consistency, and connection.
In 2022, we had the opportunity to take over Midnight Sun Catering. We stepped in with respect for what Doug built, keeping customer favorites while expanding the menu with new items led by Charles as the chef.
Today, Midnight Sun Catering reflects both its history and its future. Charles leads it, and together we’re proud to carry on a Fairbanks tradition with a focus on quality, reliability, and taking care of our community.​
